Mustangs have the power to transform lives.
They instill confidence and self-esteem, offer solace and serenity
to troubled hearts, and inspire hope within all who come in contact with them.
TRAINING PROGRAMS
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
The Mustangs of America Foundation (MAF)
actively supports inmate training programs in Nevada, Arizona, and California. The programs are aimed at providing trained mustangs for adoption to both the public and government agencies, including the Border Patrol.
PROGRAMS
Northern Nevada Correctional Center (NNCC)
Mustang Training Program
In 2008, MAF played a pivotal role in relocating the Inmate Training Program in Carson City, Nevada, to its permanent location. This move has allowed for increased space and enhanced training facilities for mustangs. Adoptable mustangs are made available every few months at NNCC, with specific dates and mustang details accessible on the MAF website.
Arizona Inmate
Mustang Training Program
MAF organizes events in Arizona to showcase the versatility of mustangs and underscore the significance of the inmate training program.
Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC)
Mustang Training Program
Additionally, MAF collaborates with RCCC in Sacramento County, CA.
The foundation provides essential tack and other materials necessary for the success of this program.
